Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for the 3-year (6-semester) full-time MCA programme offered by the Birla Institute of Technology at Mesra, Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida:
1. Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which they have appeared in Class 10 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in average. Marks in Class 10 to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate have appeared (excluding optional subjects).
2. Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which they have appeared in Class 12 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in average. Marks in Class 12 will be computed as average of best 5 subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).
3. Candidates must hold one of the following degrees
- BCA
- B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics
- B.Sc. / B.A. with Mathematics or Statistics at graduate level
The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET).
Pattern
150 questions including 60 questions of Mathematics, 30 questions of Analytical and Logical Reasoning, 40 questions of Computer Awareness and 20 questions of General Knowledge.
